Alicia Champlin is an american artist, researcher, facilitator, and creative development specialist based in Barcelona, whose work explores creativity as an embodied, relational process. Working across sound art, participatory performance, improvisation, and experimental media, she creates experiences that invite new ways of perceiving, listening, collaborating, and making sense of complex systems.

Her practice is grounded in artistic research and informed by systems thinking, cognitive science, and more than a decade of embodied listening practice. Rather than treating creativity as the production of ideas or objects, Ali approaches it as a way of relating—to ourselves, to one another, and to the environments we inhabit. This perspective informs an evolving body of research that integrates artistic practice, facilitation, education, and the development of original frameworks for creative and relational learning.

Ali holds an MFA in Intermedia, for which her thesis explored phenomenology, communication, and biosignal-based performance systems. Her work since has been presented internationally through performances, installations, conferences, workshops, and collaborative research. Bringing together sound, technology, participation, and embodied inquiry, her work explores creativity, learning, and human development through relational and enactive frameworks.

Alongside this artistic practice, Ali facilitates workshops and individual development through Deep Listening®, improvisation, and original relational methodologies that cultivate creative resilience, perceptual flexibility, and collaborative intelligence. She is a certified Deep Listening® facilitator, founder of Studio Cazimi, and creator of The Creativity Fix—an evolving body of work dedicated to helping adults reclaim creativity as an essential human capacity rather than a specialist pursuit.

Across these domains, Ali’s work reflects an emerging understanding of creativity not as a talent possessed by a few, but as a relational capacity that can be cultivated through embodied practice, attentive listening, and meaningful participation.

  • Hola Alicia,

      Saludos, Ali
